Nearly 90 delegates from across the region attended our 2018 Autumn Viewing Session at Trowbridge Town Hall.
The exciting line-up of ten newly-released feature films was well-received by delegates, with no fewer than six of the titles getting an audience rating of over 80%.
Topping the poll with an excellent 90% was a very late addition to the programme, Nae Pasaran. Part documentary, part animation, it charts the unsung tale of the Scottish workers who managed to ground half of Chile’s Air Force, from the other side of the world, in the longest single act of solidarity against Pinochet’s brutal dictatorship.
Nae Pasaran was shown in one of the three Viewing Rooms on a large plasma screen – a first for our Viewing Sessions. The other three titles shown here – Wajib, Tehran Taboo and Columbus – were all supplied by Troy Film Agency, who also gave generous financial support to the day.

In addition to the main features, eight short films were screened during the day. With the exception of Vote 100: Born A Rebel, these were all screened at the 2018 FilmBath Festival earlier in November. They represent the cream of 229 short film submissions to the festival, the general standard of which was exceptionally high.
